The Assassin captured Andrew Baker's imagination and inspired his use of 2D and 3D software to create hybrid concepts "It's a philosophy I started applying to my own work not getting tied down to either or to create an evocative piece." I hadn't seen digital artwork executed with such a dynamic approach, using 3D and 2D applications to bring the piece to a finish," says Andrew Baker, Digital Sculptor/Designer at Weta Workshop. "I noticed Loïc's work several years ago - in particular his piece entitled 'The Assassin'. Just one of the characters Loïc mastered for Heavy Rain while working at Quantic Dream At which time, he was propelled from crafting characters for Heavy Rain at Quantic Dream in France, to working on Hollywood blockbusters in Los Angeles. We first stumbled across his work when his Tattoo Project hit the scenes in 2007. Loïc e338 Zimmermann is a multi-talented French visual artist living and working in Los Angeles on superhero films such as Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3. With under 2 weeks left till our Kickstarter project is funded, we take a look at what the project has to offer, hear from Loïc himself in a hilarious video, and enjoy some of his art!
